Scan the case
The camera reads EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, and Code 128 at any angle, then fills in the product name. Save and scan next re-arms the camera for the following case.
Say the date, set the price
Hold the mic and say the date printed on the package. Tally writes it into the field. Add the count and the price, and that case is a batch the store can sell from.
Sell from one count
One number per product, not one per place you sell. The register draws it down today, oldest batch first, and the online channels draw down the same batches as they come online.

Zero means unavailable. When the last unit of a batch goes, the item stops being orderable. Nobody buys what you cannot hand over.

Ring up the walk-in sale on the same phone. Scan the items, add the ones without a barcode by hand, and apply the tax rates you saved. Logging the sale takes units off the oldest batch first, so the count in Tally is the count on the shelf.

Sell it before the date.
Every batch carries the date you said out loud, so Tally knows what is running out before you do. Each morning it sends one text, soonest first. Mark those down, sell them off, or pull them before the date turns them into waste.
